Luzuko Sonkapu

Luzuko Sonkapu is a 22-year old Radio Host and Content Creator with congential concentric myopathy.Beyond his role at RX Radio, he covered Comic Con 24 capturing its vibrant atmosphere.He also participated in the WHO Innovaion Challenge during the COVID-19 pandemic,securing second place alongside the pioneering "RX Radio -Children's Voices" initiative.RX Radio,a winner of the WHO-led Reboot Youth Health innovation Challenge in 2020 ,has empowered young voices through innovative media approaches,serving as an educational tool during the pandemic .He attended CottonFest 23, immersing himself in the energetic celebration of urban music and culture of South Africa as well as Rx Radio Youth Music Festival that was held for helping the station to raise funds and keep functioning so children have the platform to raise their voices.

Luzuko's media presence includes appearances on Expresso,BBC News, TimesLive and the Rx Radio newsletter .Having been an RX Radio young reporter for over Five Years he has interviewed notable figures including the Mayor of Cape Town, Zakes Bantwini,Azana,Mr Thela,Kyle White,DKD,Bravo Le Roux,CIZA,Mankind, and Una Rams.He also had the opportunity to sit next to Cyril Ramaphosa during his visit to the station and escort him out of the venue.

Before his Media nd Music Career,Luzuko was a wheelchair ballroom dancer from a young age until his teens,he transformed to playing boccia for Western Province ,traveling around the country with his team before moving into media and music.Initially staring as a Rapper.Luzuko eventually began making Beats as a hobby.His creativity in music remains uniminished, deeply rooted in his love for music.His work reflect his life lessons, past experiences,future aspirations inspired by Music played in his surrounding.He released a demo track called "Butterflies" in 2019.He now has over 50 written tracks he prepares to release two official songs on his SoundCloud and other platforms.
